Tokio Marine U.S. Company Selects Monitaur to Operationalize Enterprise AI Governance

TMNA Services signed to deploy the Monitaur platform to deliver visibility, compliance, and objective assurance to AI systems

BOSTON, Sept. 29, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Monitaur, the leading AI governance platform for regulated enterprises, today announced that Tokio Marine North America Services (TMNAS) has selected its platform to strengthen AI governance across multiple Tokio Marine Group companies in the United States. As a shared services organization, TMNAS will implement the solution for Philadelphia Insurance Companies, Tokio Marine America, and First Insurance Company of Hawaii. TMNAS and these three companies are all U.S. subsidiaries of the global Tokio Marine Group.

As global insurers accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence across various lines and departments, including underwriting, claims, and marketing, establishing uniform and streamlined AI governance has become a paramount operational requirement – and foundation for AI investments and transformation. Monitaur’s platform provides four Tokio Marine companies with an intelligent governance system that will guide stakeholders, create transparency, and mitigate AI risks so that Tokio Marine can responsibly deploy AI that benefits its customers and business. By leveraging Monitaur’s risk assessment, objective validation, and quantification capabilities, the company can establish acceptable risk tolerances and monitor AI adoption and use to continually calibrate opportunities and risks across the enterprise.

“As we expand our use of AI to deliver world-class insurance solutions, we know that realizing its potential requires the right level of care and governance to support that growth,” said Robert Pick, chief information officer at TMNAS and Group deputy chief information technology officer of Tokio Marine Group. “We selected Monitaur because of the depth and comprehensiveness of their offering, and the credibility they have established by delivering results for carriers and expertise to our broader industry, including regulators.”

“Insurance organizations have always operated with a deep understanding of risk, and AI is creating new dimensions of risk and opportunity that require the same level of rigor,” said Anthony Habayeb, CEO of Monitaur. “Governance is more than policies and documentation. AI governance has to be operationalized in the workflows and systems where AI is developed and deployed, with an ability to clearly measure where controls are effectively mitigating risks and where more attention is required. We’re proud to have earned Tokio Marine’s trust and look forward to supporting it as it builds that capability and continues to scale its use of AI responsibly.”

Through the relationship, Tokio Marine will leverage Monitaur’s capabilities and insurance-specific configurations to solidify governance requirements as well as evaluate AI systems against those requirements. It will also establish real-time visibility of AI across the business and the status of compliance and conformance with the company’s AI governance objectives. This includes use of FlightSim, Monitaur’s objective assurance capability for high-impact AI, which uses repeatable validations, simulated scenarios and black-box testing to assess system performance and readiness for use.
